Thanks to a $7,500 federal School Resource Officer Grant, Rising Sun Ohio County Community Schools will be getting perforated glass film on the schools' main access doors.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, a Coding Camp was held at the Education Center of Rising Sun, for children currently in the second through fifth grades. It was taught by Trisha Myers, assisted by Debbie Thomason and Ethan Myers.

At an age when the average baby might begin to crawl, Nolan Lange instead is putting up with surgical procedures and breathing assistance at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

After Ohio County was carved out of Dearborn County and formally made an independent county in 1844, a new court house was constructed and opened in 1845 as a seat of government and a sign of its independence.

The Rising Sun Ohio County Community Schools Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 5, has been cancelled and is tentatively set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.
