 Three people were taken to hospitals after a collision Thursday, May 5, with one of them flown by air ambulance to University Hospital, Cincinnati, according to Ohio County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Chad Oakes. Deputies were called to investigate the personal injury accident in the 2600 block of Ind. 156 at 9:35 a.m., said Oakes. In Ohio County, voter turnout was 33.5 percent for the primary election Tuesday, May 3, as 1,639 Ohio County voters went to the polls.

The county has 4,881 registered voters.

Sophomore Lucy Carrigan was 100-meter dash runner-up and anchored the Lady Shiners' second-place 4 X 100-meter relay in last week's Vevay Media Group Invitational at Switzerland County.

VEVAY - Zach Martini converted the distance event double, while Angelo Gallegos and Derek Eldridge won individual firsts in last Thursday's Vevay Media Group track and field Invitational at Switzerland County.
