Editor, The 2nd annual ALS Walk for the Cure was held Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Rising Sun Community Park. It was another perfect morning to come out with friends and families supporting such a good cause. All together there was $5,300 raise and sent to the ALS Association of Indiana. That's a total of $10,300 in two years to folks in our state who have Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease. The not-for-profit Indiana chapter was founded in 1997 to serve the needs of Hooisers living with ALS, thier families and caregivers. Thank you to all who came out and sent in donations. God Bless you. Hope to se you at next year's walk on Sept. 14, 2012. Rising Sun Lions Club To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
