Work has started on the new 100 room hotel on the site at Rising Star Casino. Groundbreaking was held in November 2011 but was delayed by zoning concerns. Neighbors opposed building which would block there view of the Kentucky hills but also had questions concerning the funding of the project by Rising Sun First Inc. through the Rising Sun Regional Foundation.
