Michael Lee "Buck" Bailey, 36, of Rising Sun passed away at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg, on November 17, 2014. He was born at Dearborn County Hospital on April 8, 1978 the son of Robin Bailey and Debbie Hayes Cole.

Bailee Bostic signed a National Letter of Intent Thurday to play softball the University of Evansville next year. Several teammates, coaches and family watched her commit to play softball for the Purple Aces and Evansville's Head Coach, Matt Mundell.

Area veterans were treated to a breakfast and program at Rising Sun High School on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The ceremony included the posting and retiring of colors by RS band members Ben Eads and Carly Siekman; presentation of each service flags by Gracie Jackson, Nicole Rider, Amy Zamudio, Whitney Brunner and Anna Uhlmansiek.

Band director Ron Eads called the Rising Sun High School Shiner Pride Marching Band's performance the best of the year on Saturday, Nov. 6.

Rising Sun made the finals of the Mid States Marching competition at Shea Stadium in Norwood (OH) and had it been Shea Stadium in New York, you might have heard some boos.
