The Rising Sun Lady shiners defeated Switzerland County in double overtime on Tuesday, Jan. 22 to reclaim the Ruler of the River trophy, sponsored by Vevay Newspapers and Ohio County Newspapers. It was senior night and each Rising Sun senior played a roll in the win. Brittany Camden had 14, Kennedy Oser 12 and Ali Bostic 10. Sydney Elliott's 3-pointer sent the game to a second overtime after having been tied at 42 after regulation and 50 after the first overtime. Rising Sun outscored the Lady Pacers 6-1 in the overtime with Bostic scoring four and Camden two.
