Tuesday evening, Aug. 5, Women on Missions enjoyed their meal at the Crossroads in Versailles.

President Juanita Radcliff had a short lesson on prayer.

Also enjoying the evening were Sheilia McAlister with her cousin Sue as a guest Darla Williams, Connie Baldwin and daughter Kelly, Betty Burgess, Carolyn Leming, Beth Markland, Patty Helton, Betty Ashcraft, Sharon Level, Marilyn Watkins, Katherine Turner and Alanna Smith.

On August 12, 2014 Windstormers Extension Homemakers met at Rising Sun Church of Christ at 6:30 p.m. to carpool to The Waters Nursing Home to visit with and pass outboxes of tissues to residents, returned to RSCC for meeting at 7 p.m.

Carolyn Titkemeyer gave the Pledge to the Flag and the Homemakers Creed. Treasurer report given by Rosie Hewitt, $6.05 collected for Coins for Friends, and a $5 donation from Mary Dolan with a balance of $172.72 Secretary report given by Pat Morris, no meeting in July.

Kay Rager made motion to increase dues to $8.00. Rosie Hewitt seconded. Motion passed.

In Attendance: Carolyn Titkemeyer, Karen Sprague, Jeanne Sabo, Kay Rager, Jill Elliott, Betty Pavy, Rosie Hewitt, Jan Turner, Carolyn Brown, Rose Marie Curry, Mary Younger and Pat Morris Roll Call was “Name your most used appliance.”

Calendar passed around to sign up to help bag groceries for RS school food program in September and October.
Cards passed around to be signed for Betty Gossman, Mary Dolan, Margaret Nixon. Extension Homemakers Board passed motion to donate $50.00, in memory of Ginger Stowell, to the Purdue Cancer Research.

Madison Fall District Meeting-Jefferson County, Aug. 27, 2014. Money needs to be in by Friday, Aug 15, for those attending. Meet at Rising Sun Church of Christ at 7:45 a.m. to carpool.

Members will meet at RCCS Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. to make muffins for Navy Bean Festival. Fall outing Tuesday, Oct. 14, for Schenck Mansion Bed and Breakfast Inn, Vevay, Ind. Tour and Lunch $15.95. Need 15 to attend.

Monthly Volunteer Hours paper passed around to record amount of hours members worked for month of July.
Lesson given by Jeannie Sabo “Food Products Dating”. Handouts given to members with information on this subject.

Refreshments were served by Carolyn Titkemeyer and Jeannie Sabo. Lemon dessert and chocolate cake.

A motion to adjourn was made and seconded with all in agreement.

Women on Missions met on July 1 at he home of Connie Baldwin. Attending were Juanita Radcliff, Lois Stutzman, Sharon Levell, Betty Burgess, Hazel Huffner, Betty Ashcraft, Darla Williams, Shelia McAlister, Kristie Cate, Billie Ralph, Annette Richards and Kelly Otter. Patty Helton stopped in to introduce her friend from Denmark.

President Radcliff offered prayer and led the pledge to the flag. Stutzman gave the treasurer's report and Huffner gave the secretary's report and dues were collected.

Juanita and Hazel gave a report on their tour of Safe Passage in Batesville. A thank you card was read for the items donated. The group will continue to send money monthly to support the organization.

Sharon Levell thanked the group for its donations which will help in the purchase of a handicapped van for her great-granddaughter.

Juanita's lesson was on the Holy Spirit and how it changes our lives.

Bible school is July 13-16.

The group will eat at the Crossroads in Versailles on Aug. 5. They will leave the church at 5:30 p.m.

On May 13, the Windstormers Extension Homemakers met at Rising Sun Church of Christ to travel to the RS Nursing Home where they visited with the residents and presented Solar Flowers
to each.

Returned to church where Carolyn Titkemeyer gave the Pledge to the Flag and the Homemakers Creed. Devotiongiven by Karen Sprague, “Memo from God”.  No treasury report given. Dues of $6 collected for 2014 membership.

In Attendance: Carolyn Titkemeyer, Cheryl Jaworski, Karen Sprague, Dottie McKinely, Jan Turner, Carolyn Brown, Beth See, Jill Elliott, Rose Marie Curry, Arlene Uhlmansiek, Mary Younger and Pat Morris Roll Call was “Your best rainbow story.”

Newspaper article was read by Jill Elliott regarding the “Healthy Living Snack Pack” program, which the Ohio County Homemakers participate in, stuffing the bags at local school.

Fall District meeting will be held in Madison. Next meeting will be held June 10 at Rising Sun Church of Christ.

Refreshments were served by Mary Younger and Karen Sprague. Cold cuts, fruit, and daisy cookies baked by Karen.
