Valdosta State Daniel Adam Hummel, a resident of Rising Sun, has been recognized among over 2,000 students from Valdosta State University
who made the Spring 2013 Dean's List.
Students who achieve a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher on nine (9) or more semester hours with an institutional (VSU) GPA of
3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean's List. Developmental Studies, transients and graduate students
are not eligible for Dean's List status.

Matthew Werner, 500 South Poplar Street,
Rising Sun has been recognized for achieving an exceptional grade point
average for
the spring 2013 semester. This accomplishment places you on the
Dean's List within the Haile/US Bank College of Business at
Northern Kentucky University.
He is the grandson of Bill and Joyce Riddell.

Alison Ande of Rising Sun, has achieved a place on the University of Evansville Dean's List for academic achievements during the Spring Semester 2013. Ande is majoring in Pre Physical Therapy.
To make the Dean's List, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
“At the University of Evansville, students such as Alison Ande thrive under personal guidance from faculty mentors,” said UE President Thomas A. Kazee. “Earning a place on the Dean's List shows a strong commitment to academic success, and students and their families should be very proud of this accomplishment.”
Ande has been on the Dean's List each of the last four semesters.

Lauramary Padgett, a 2009 graduate of Rising
Sun High School, has made the Dean's List at Indiana University East.
The daughter
of Mike and Konna Padgett is a senior studying elementary
education. She currently is doing her student teaching at Central
Elementary School in Lawrenceburg. Congratulations.
