Easton Roth, a student at OCEMS, traveled from out in the county to set up in the Rising Sun High School parking lot to view the teacher caravan. School has been canceled for the rest of the year, so teachers decided to caravan through town hoping to see some of their students. Apparently, Roth isn’t impressed with his teacher at home. Bonnie Carrigan devised a way to get groceries up to her apartment at the senior housing complex while practicing safe distancing. Her grandkids, Taylor Carrigan, Kennedy Carrigan, Alexis Carrigan, and Myles Kinnett, hook her bags of groceries onto the end of a broomstick and she raises them onto her porch. Submitted Photo

Theresa Scott, a cafeteria worker at Rising Sun Schools, delivers meals to the community by bus. Cafeteria workers packed and delivered over 2,000 meals to Ohio County students. They have since extended their delivery offering to senior citizens. This is their second week treating folks with meals.
