With nearly 400 entries, the 2017 Shiner Pride Car Show gave locals and visitors a chance to view old and new vehicles of various models.
And it provided trophies in a bunch of categories, with Scott Hensley taking the Best of Show with his 1970 Pontiac GTO.

Ohio County Fair Board members coordinated the 4-H livestock auction this year, for the first time in decades. The Ohio County 4-H Auction brought in a grand total of $60,052.16, with $8,877.16 the animals’ appraised values and $51,175 the added value from the auction, according to Ohio County Fair Board Treasurer Jeff Price.

The sunflowers blooming at Poplar and Williams streets in Rising Sun will never go to seed, but they do brighten the back of the rental house Ohio County residents Dick and Donna Moore own.

COLUMBUS, Indiana - Indiana Outlaws 8U fast-pitch softball team extended its streak of tournament titles with the biggest one yet Sunday, June 25.

And they have the rings to prove it.

Equipped with paint and brushes, Rising Sun resident Bonnie Carrigan heard of a community-oriented activity and began working to launch it in Rising Sun.

Where’s the beef? Apparently at the Ohio County 4-H Fair from the number and variety of beef cattle breeds entered in the various classes.
