Ice likely caused wreck

An unconscious woman was flown by medical helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Hospital Thursday, Feb. 21, after her car collided with a tree, according to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
Suzanne Davis, 44, Rising Sun, had to be extricated from the red 2001 Mitsubishi she’d been driving, which had run off the roadway in the 5000 block of Ind. 56 West around 7:42 a.m. Ice on the roadway is believed to be the cause of the accident, said deputies.
Her condition was unknown as of late morning Friday, Feb. 22, said deputies.
Assisting the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office were the Rising Sun Police Department, Rising Sun Fire Department, and Ohio County EMS.
