Grants available for teachers’ tools

Applications are currently available for the 2018 Teachers’ Classroom Tools grants administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation. Teachers employed within the Rising Sun/Ohio County Community School Corporation are eligible to apply and are encouraged to apply over the summer break.
Grant requests must be for materials, items, equipment, educational field trips or programs that enhance the classroom teaching curriculum. The maximum grant award per teacher is $500. Teachers who teach the same subject may collaborate and combine their grant amounts for projects exceeding $500. The grant awards will be announced in October.
To apply, go to the foundation website at occfrisingsun.com. The application deadline is 3 p.m. Friday, August 1. Applications must be submitted online.
