Benefit planned for ‘unicorn girl’

A benefit is being planned for 11-yearold Alana Stegemiller who recently completed proton radiation therapy to shrink a brain tumor which was found in late June.

The tumor, originally about the size of a plum, is called Suprasellar Pilocytic Astrocytoma, according to her mom, Heather Campbell. Stegemiller, who loves unicorns, underwent surgery July 7, but only about 40 percent of the tumor could be removed.
