Paul E. Rutenkroger
Paul E. Rutenkroger, 90, passed on to his heavenly home on Aug. 10, 2014. He was born in Patriot to Ben and Pearl Rutenkroger. Paul graduated from Rising Sun High School, served in the Army Air Force during World War II, married Margaret Gregory, and graduated from Butler University. He taught Mathematics for Indianapolis Public Schools, Orlando Junior College, and Warren Township Schools in Indianapolis. After retirement, he was happy to have the opportunity to work as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Florida. Paul was a Baptist and served as Sunday School Superintendent and as Deacon for several years. He enjoyed playing bridge during most of his retirement years. Predeceased by his son Thomas, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeanie, daughters, Gwyn Littell and Nicole Boardman, sons David and Jay Rutenkroger, and brother, Earl Rutenkroger. He is also survived by Jeanie’s sons Bryan, Keith, and Rusty McCullar, 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His nephew, the Rev. Edwin Rutenkroger, officiated the funeral and interment services.
