Casey Brett, commander of American Legion Post No. 59, recently presented Renee Cole of Ohio County Elementary/Middle School with $500 that will go toward Rising Sun Kid’s Jam, formerly known as Good News Club. The money will be used to provide snacks, crafts, and other supplies to kindergarten through sixth who participate in the program. Kids Jam is a child evangelical fellowship program held weekly after school hours. It is run strictly by trained volunteers and features Bible lessons, songs, memory verses, games, and mission stories.
